TGP hosting costs?
 

To TGP owners.. a 150k - 200k / day TGP.. what kind of monthly hosting bills do you rack up on average?

are you currently running any sites? or are you looking to jump into the game.

its not for me, personally.. we run everything here (I know what my costs would be in house..) but am putting feelers out to see what it actually costs an everyday, sole-proprietorship webmaster.

Depends on if the tgp is text or thumbs. Depends on if the bandwidth is cogent or premium. Depends on if the server is managed or unmanaged.

text would be much cheaper, some thumb sites now use thumbs 400x320 in size which is insane

If you have huge ass thumbs like you're seeing more and more, it's going to be alot more.. but your site quality will be much better so it's usually very worth it.

that is serious business

$200-$400 depending on how premium and how managed.

thank you - so a $1000 / month budget for dedicated, managed hosting would allow a site like that to operate comfortably and leave some room for growth...
