I've been a Donor since 1988, if my organs are any good, I have no problem donating them to someone who is in need.

I am in BC, but I don't think it applies if I die outside of Canada... Not sure how that works now that I'm living in another country.

Here in GA, if you donate your body to a local medical college for research, they keep it for a year, then pay for the burial or cremation.

nope, i don't believe in giving my perfectly good organs to some fuck who couldn't take care of themselves...

why should my perfectly fine lungs that have never smoked in their lives, goto someone who is dying of lung cancer from smoking? their fault, not mine...

only donation of my organs will goto my family members, and it will be written in my will to allow my organs to goto a family member who needs them, if not, they get burried with me

Many people are born with birth defects that affect their kidneys, hearts, lungs, livers, etc. All donatable organs. Christopher Reeves wife just died of lung cancer and she didn't smoke. To say people need new organs because they didn't care of themselves is painting everyone with a VERY broad stroke.

Actually, no. People who abuse their organs are usually put at the bottom of the list for donations (unless you can buy one yourself like some of the rock stars). Doctors aren't stupid. They aren't going to put healthy lungs in a 3 pack a day smoker instead of someone who has a hereditary lung disease.

And if you're in the US, I doubt you have the ability to tell them where your organs go. IOW, you're either a donor or not. So....your relative could be at the top of the list for heart donation, but since you marked "NO" for donation, they're out of luck.

oops, oh well, but like i said, my choice ;)

When I die...

My body will be hollowed out and organs donated to the needy.

Then I will be transformed into and used as a piñata
