Am I nuts? Anyone into UFO's?

Any believers here? We saw something really strange the other night. It was kinda orangish in color, shaped alot like a football...only lasted a fews minutes then was gone.... it went across the sky pretty fast then stopped for a couple secs then disappeared. Go ahead, hammer me, but we saw it.

Fabien 11-16-2006 05:17 AM

Of course i like it ! Everything related to it fascinates me !

Scott McD 11-16-2006 05:18 AM

We believe you... :rasta

Phoenix 11-16-2006 05:20 AM

ever since i was a kid in sudbury and the entire city watched a a very slow moving multi coloured fireball type thing move across the sky...i have been hooked.

was explained as a russian rocket gone astray...lol

DebsDeep 11-16-2006 05:23 AM

whew...i wanted to tell someone....it was really freaky, was not a plane...not a helicopter...and when it disappeared it really went away fast....
I have always had a fascination with the "paranormal" "Ufo" or the unexplained i guess i should say.

aless 11-16-2006 05:27 AM

I had a related site few years ago because it's a hobby for me everything that has to do with ufo and paranormal but because of lack of time I had to give up on running it.

There are plenty of great resources on the net that you can consult to get some advices for the experience you had.

DebsDeep 11-16-2006 05:31 AM

Got any urls? I would love some good reading.

Ball lightning.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-16-2006 05:34 AM

i once spotted a strange glowing ball float inthe sky with my stepbrother and a friend on a roadtrip to the city once. it was about a third the size of the sun. had astrange dull glow to it. it sat there for a little over a minute then faded out. i believe that there probably was a good earthly explanation for it, but it really did look fucked up, and i can't think at all what it could have been out there on such a clear day. to this day i haven't got a reasonable explanation for it.

as for there being intelligent life outside our own planet, i think there probably is, i highly doubt they have the ability to travel this far, but it's pretty ignorant to imagine that in the entire universe our little shithole is the only one to spawn living organisms...

i caught a special on ball lightning on tlc once, there was a guy who could create it in in his own shop, was a pretty cool see. and i think this was a pretty reasonable explanation for alot of the strange glowing balls people see...

i also saw a special on people who could create strange glowing by crushing crystals. by pressurizing crystals somehow a bright colorful light was formed. they would crush a sugar cube, and it was like a little tiny green flash. i think the theory they were trying to push was that crystals under the desert were being pressurized and creating strange flashes of energy in the sky. kind of an offbeat theory, but who knows right?

Phoenix 11-16-2006 05:47 AM

deb check some of these links out

http://www.google.co.kr/search?sourc...phoenix+lights

this was an event recorded and seen by almost the entire state of arizona.

military commanders were calling in saying what the fuck is going on..lol

biftek 11-16-2006 05:49 AM

although not really UFO , but a story where something totally natural can make strange lights

in my town we a have a shortwave radio station pumping out kilowatts of power to beam radio shows into the pacific and world wide

a few kilimetres away is the shitfarm(sewage joint) anyway for night or 2 the wind was blowing in the right direction sending the methane cloud toward the radio station , the RF in the air made the methane cloud glow , everyone was freaking out thinking it was a strange mist ready to turn them inside out or some shit like that ,

it was rather funny at the time

watching the discovery channel , seen a few of these stories where natural occuring rare events cause these dancing lights , ranging from the earth magnetic field lighting up the gases in the atmosphere to lightning that shoots up ,to some dog sitting on a mountain top lighting his fart

Dirty F 11-16-2006 05:50 AM

I can guarantee you 99,9% that what you and everybody here in this thread saw was not an UFO. There are so many things it could have been but people always tend to explain it as something special. A ghost, an ufo etc. It sounds exciting while a bird or a light isnt.

We love to see stuff like that. It intrigues people. We want to believe it so ofcourse the first thing you think of when you can't explain something is that there's "something out there".

I usually feel sad for these people. It's kinda pathetic.

Well if you could see where i live we dont have anything even close to us....
I am in the adirondack mountains, closest town is a small one and thats 17 miles away, pop of 5000. i dont know how far these waves can travel but i guess anything is possible

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-16-2006 05:57 AM

haha, i love ghost stories, m and a couple friends were looking at moving into this big oldschool building a couple months ago. it is easily a hundred years old. a big three story building with a commercial space in the basement and a 6 bedroom living area up top. turns out that the place was atually a saloon/brothel back in the goldrush, and the entire town thinks it's haunted by the ghosts of angry prostitutes from the past. i am not kidding at all either. the ghost sotires and the fact that it was once a whorehouse only made us want to move in more, unfortunately someone else got the place, twas a shame...

The fact that you right away think of an UFO makes you a nutjob. There are about 101 non nutjob explanations but you dont care about those. You WANT it to be an UFO just like millions of weak minds like you. Its the same people who believe in ghosts, telepathy and other emotional shit.

Just a wild guess: When you were young and a family member passed away you saw a ghost while lying in bed right?

DebsDeep 11-16-2006 06:18 AM

I never shoulda said a word.
lol
I dont know what it was, maybe there is an explaination...i have no clue
I hope everyone gets a good laugh off me :)

well, with a ufo being an "unidentified flying object" i'd have to say it was. i mean, it was up in the sky, and it was unidentified. if the term alien spacecraft were used, i'd be shittting away with you, but it wasn't.

alot of people are interested in ufo's, myself included. who doesn't like a good paranormal story? even though i completely disbelieve that we have alien visitors on earth, that the dead can return from the grave, or that their really is a monster at the bottom of the loch, i still enjoy the stories...

Holly 11-16-2006 08:54 AM

You're nuts.

SomeCreep 11-16-2006 08:57 AM

When you're strange, faces come out of the rain.

JimiJimi 11-16-2006 09:09 AM

I saw a UFO that was on one of those TV shows. It was reported to the local police by over 2000 people. My neighbor, an IBM VP, was interviewed for the show saw it up close but that part was cut out of the interview.
I believe were not alone in the universe.

Holden Vandison 11-16-2006 09:36 AM

i saw something over my house at night when i was younger. i stole one of my dads cigarettes at 2 am and went outside to smoke it. i looked up and there was something big there that blocked out the sky. far up, but it was not a cloud. the moon was out and the clouds were lit up, but not this.

Kimo 11-16-2006 09:52 AM

i believe anything is possible

AnnaSucks 11-16-2006 10:18 AM

Even if you believe in such stuff yourself, DON'T SCARE YOUR KIDS WITH IT.

My mom saw something when she was a kid and has been talking about it for the last 40 years... She still gets these yearly "UFO reports" books in the post and she used to read them to me and my brother before bedtime. People describing the abductions and the aliens they saw... That shit scared the shit out of me back then, I used to have a lot of nightmares about it

Even though I don't believe a word of it now, I'm still scared of the dark/strange lights on the sky. THANKS MOM!

DebsDeep 11-16-2006 03:59 PM

Oh well, I never said i was abducted or anything, i simply saw something i cannot explain....Maybe it was a meteor? doubt it, cuz it went away up, and across.....who knows...i suppose there could be hundreds of explanations but heck its good conversation.... :)

squishypimp 11-16-2006 04:01 PM

Dirty Dane 11-16-2006 04:20 PM

I've been abducted several times. No one believes me, but its true.

shekinah 11-16-2006 04:37 PM

Every time I look into the sky wishing some meteor will show up but there wasn't. I'm also fund of listening to stories about seeing ufo's that's why I started looking at the sky every night but what I saw is a comet.. true way back 1990's.
