Just added a 3rd Monitor .. 20.1 wide screen .. NICE!! (PIC)

I just added a Dell 20.1 wide screen to my all ready dual 17" LCD set up. I'm not sure I'm going to keep it set up like this (the two 17" seem to be fine) I may take the 20" home. But I have the Cable Box hooked up to the S-Video and the PIP is pretty cool ...:thumbsup

For me the quality is fine ... i don't really do any designing on it or play online games .. right now i have 2 shit video cards and the one on the mother board running them.. I'm going to pic up a better set-up if anyone has suggestions ..

also isn't there a software the lets manage all 3 from one place .. right now they all have there own settings and look a bit different ..

fuzzylogic 11-15-2006 02:14 PM

does the widescreen distort the image? when i was at the store the other day i passed on one because it seemed images were streeeeeeeeeeeeetched lengthwise.

fuzzylogic 11-15-2006 02:15 PM

what resolution do u have them set at?

i am thinking about returning my 19" for two 17" today

Fred Quimby 11-15-2006 02:21 PM

That would be great for looking at pics of naked girls on the interweb:Graucho

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 11-15-2006 02:22 PM

MattO 11-15-2006 02:24 PM

Try this program:
http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/
Ultramon, it's pretty sweet for running multiple monitors. Site says it is a 30 day trial but I downloaded it ages ago and it has never asked for a registration or shit like that.

MikeVega 11-15-2006 02:24 PM

it does stretch out the image a bit and the text ...but juicy was here and he said his never did that and it maybe because if the shit video card .. I only have it set at 1280 x 1024 ... it has tons of settings i can fuck with that will make it better I'm sure but i kinda got used to it within an hour ... it's kinda like watching regular TV on the plasma .. I have mine set to fill the wide screen and reg channels look stretched but you get used to it. if your doing design work i would think you would have a hard time with the stretch ..

Spunky 11-15-2006 02:26 PM

Slick looking setup man

I try ... I have so much to learn but i try to use basic meditation to stay focused and having the statue visually reminds me to step back and stay calm. The bit I know I do try to follow and just try to live a more peaceful day to day life. I do hope to learn more about the lifestyle

maybe he uses the flame to light his joints and insense.

for those who practice i believe a buddha statue cannot be placed lower then a humans height.

1280 x 1024 is not a standard widescreen resolution. That is why the image seems stretched. Try the Dell 20.1" standard resolution of 1680 x 1050 or a resolution with a similar aspect ratio.

NinjaSteve 11-16-2006 07:45 AM

nice setup you got there!

It should NEVER stretch if you set it to the native resolution like your supposed to.

Yeah .. Mine is the last model .. I wasn't even in the market for it .. Juicy had it laying around (he had two or three but uses his laptop 99% of the time) so he brought it by .. i gave him a few bucks for it .. it's nice .. I just need to step my video card game up on that PC ..:thumbsup
