ZangoBlackList on Xbiz

Zango spokesman Steve Stratz said that by having the user agree to the EULA, the company is complying with the FTC’s regulations. Stratz also said that the affiliate’s site URL is not in violation of the FTC agreement or Zango’s rules of conduct.

I forget who I was talking to the other day, but they told me that the FTC contacted Zango to consult with them about EULA's as theirs was the best and they were going to make others conform to theirs.
Just a rumor I guess, but what I heard. |
Don't anti spyware and anti virus progs scan computers for the zango installed files? Programs like nod32 or kaspersky should remove them if they aren't already doing this?

I was surprised to see Walmart and Warner Bros. on that list

That site needs a lot of work but it's better than nothing.
They should separate Adult and Mainstream, differentiate between sponsors and affiliates, have separate lists for the top sites pushing installs, being listed in the Zango search engine etc etc. They also need to define requirements for rankings. Are they based on Jim, Bob and Fred recording who pops up once a day or is it a bit more scientific? Are they searching for "midget porn" or "cheap furniture" ? Not that I necessarily disagree with the rankings but I would assume mainstream companies like Walmart etc online advertising budget to be a tad bigger than any Adult company. A user submitted vote for the worst offenders based on reports with screenshots would be a better sample but also subject to abuse. |
