It has been tested on Mozilla Firefox. The actual setup in Korea might interrupt it (it works fine on my end) - I can promise the demo for US
version will not have any problem against mozilla, within 7 days. These demos I just showed you are our clients in Asia. Will make sure in 7 days you will get perfect demo. |

You are sure of it , Pimplink. It will be totally favored by VOD fans. The actual server setup gets interesting as well. Let's say if in New York it has high % of viewers, we would basically setup 'Relay' server aside of 'Streaming' server in place - What it does is it will totally eliminate delay times for viewers. Remeber that, What you are watching on demos I just showed you are setup in overseas; meaning the slowest network setup possible for US viewers right now. If it is setup, (like it will in 7 days for demo), there will be 3-5 seconds delay time ONLY. It will stream at 600kbps and showing DVD quality. We are looking for 1-5 major clients to roll with initially, making it a bit more exclusive for them plus customizations. So if you are interested, leave your contacts for my reference to contact when demo is setup. We have our business scheme set in Asia and we sold licenses. We haven't decided as of yet on US market, and it is negotiable for starters. It's not the subject I want to get into as of yet, I want gfy members to see the US demo ASAP and working on the US server setup right now. Youtube is only a Flash streaming. It's not something amazing as a technology point of view at all. This application outperforms and it's unparallel.
Our application providing the users at lower bandwidth for High definition streaming. It saves a lot on server usage for companies and even saving bucks. Who really likes MS? They reserve 20% of your bandwidth for updates, not only that they have too much crap to deal with. Soon or later, much more advanced technologies will be introduced globally and of course under safer environment, which is Unix. Wait on to see the US version demo. =) |

Yes
Encoding/Editing can be done on Window using our special codec software. And actual streaming is done from Unix. Let me show you a diagram. :) |

True , Xondemand isn't HD at all except it is HD ..maybe in 2004-05.

The video quality is very good, I could not see the bit rate so cant say how much better then WM / Flash. Take a look at http://www.dvlabs.com/ , this is done on Flash.

Comparing youtube isn't exactly fair since they are using video designed for flash 7, the new codecs introduced in flash 8 totally kick ass.

What I want to know is do you have a stand alone player as opposed to a plugin that I can use to play any video files , more like videolan software Iam in the processing of setting up a digital signage network and looking at several solutions .. quality does look good for a 1mbit version, definitely not HD tho. id be interested in how a 2 or 3 mbit widescreen looks/streams.
fast buffering, fast fast forwarding, and runs on *nix i like that. for a true streaming style setup on unix not bad. how does the encoding work tho? would we be using standard tools like tmpeg or cleaner with a plugin to encode? |
wtf, this is so weird. Looks great on my 19" CRT monitor, looks completely shitty on my 19" LCD monitor -- only video file to look this drastically different. CRT is nice and clean, LCD has jaggies and 'cross-hatching' over the video.

I've opened up thread 2 weeks ago, and had good feedbacks on I.E version. Now that Mozilla version is ready, please check how it loads up for you, Gfy. Feedbacks, interests with contact info postings are welcome. I'd like to show you movie DVD encoded version, however, because of copyright issue, I can't.. The actual source file quality is not the movie quality. But, heck, check'em out Fellas. This solution is entering North America in few weeks, with partnership with major hosting company - few of major ones are in talk right now at the moment. Check out the Full screen function as well (in the middle of the player..) Check 5.1 Channel Sound Check Fast Forwarding option as well. We have livewebcam version as well, it won't be introduced until VOD is established in North America - which will take no longer than 2-3 mths from now on. It's not the type of webcam you guys been experiencing, a robot version.. it's as smooth as if the person's right there in front of ya..
viewers will go crazy, this is also our hidden card solution which will be introduced in 2-3 mths. |
