How big is your site?

I've tried AWstats on a 100k site and it crashed the server (very powerfull one). The logs were getting huge. How do you have it configured?

my big is smaller then your big...

awstats... all the logs are managed by hosting support service

running wusage for all of my domains.. no problems with 100k+, but I'd really like a package that could handle all domains and handle the log problems...

So how much traffic your awstats site gets?

How long do you keep the logs for?

polish_aristocrat 11-13-2006 09:04 AM

I have no server

fris 11-13-2006 09:47 AM

usally use webalizer, and use extreme tracker for invisible counter

spasmo 11-13-2006 09:50 AM

I use awstats everywhere. Run it every 60 minutes (cron) and it shouldn't fall behind, even on massive sites.

i am not that technical... i left the default settings (a friend of mine installed it) and i never had an issue with it.

regarding the size of the site - around 30-40k... (lol, laugh at the noob.... :))

is there anything else? It seems all stats programs are years old. I am using wusage 8 too and it makes often mistakes with traffic calculations... One day it showed about 600 GB traffic for one day and my host showed 120 GB. On other days its correct and I have no fucking clue whats the problem. Also i thought Wusage 8 is now at least 3 years old and there might be some better software out there.

Nobody a better idea then AWStats or Wusage?
