JAVA is absolut CRAP. The only reason it exists still today is because java programmers are EXPENSIVE and consulting companies like PWC, Accenture and so on can charge OUT OF THEIR ASS to have programs written for companies using it.

It honestly has its tasks that it excels at. Its gonna take me a while to shake of that icky feeling it always used to give me, after years of dealing with shitty open source 3rd party JVM's. But now that it will all be open source.. unix and linux distros can now include Suns JVM. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I also dont think Java programmers are that expensive are they? CS programs churn them out day after day. That language has been woven into higher education.. thats why there is such a large developer pool.
