I downloaded smart ftp the other day but couldnt get it to work even after going through the tutorials twice

I just tried filezilla and it worked for me on the first try

Transmit :) But if you use firefox, it also has a free addon, fireftp which is fast and simple. It is free and cross platform

SmartFTP because it's free and it smells funny.

flashfxp is great ...

but if you're just uploading to one server I just use Internet Explore to get basic things done...

2nd this one. Love its simplicity.

i use filezilla.... they work great for me....

The best is prob what you are most familiar and comfortable with.

Right now the flavor of the week is TurboFTP, but also use WSFTP Pro, LeapFTP, Total Commander and some stuff forget the names.

One extreme to the other is... if you need some scripted routines, - WSFTP Pro is excellent, but heavyish footprint/interface. If you want something neat and simple, try LeapFTP.
