Is 5 min. of video to much for a Free hosted galleries?
 

all our new sites that are launching next week have 5 min. for each exclusive girl on the Free Hosted galleries and on the trailers of the paysites.

Is this to much or a good thing?

Wayyyyy too much. Most men can probably rub one out in less than 2 mins.

Just put the whole members videos on the FHG's.

That way it saves them the hassle of having to reach in their pocket and get out their credit card.

Typical you are looking at about 80 seconds spread over a number of clips... this is for two reasons: 1 - more clips means there is "more" when in fact there is less, and 2 - is very hard for someone to wank off in 20 seconds or less... so keep the clips to a reasonable lenght.

Porn surfers have the attention spans of heavily caffeinated fleas. Don't expect them to sit for 5 minutes or to wait for a 5 minute video to download.

i usually have 2-3 clips that are 1 mun together...5 min is waaay too much...

Well I can understand from your point of view that they might be good.. But as someone who lists galleries... I won't use them.. for the reasons RawAlex outlined...

I think a lot of sponsors stick with 1 minute. So
6 x 10 second clips
4 x 15 second clips OR
3 x 20 second clips

Which is exactly what you DON'T WANT! Free video should NEVER NEVER NEVER be good enough to get the surfer off... then why would he buy?

Roger, the difference is simple: What you do on a tour or on a free gallery for a TGP is entirely different from what you do inside you membership site. Once they are inside, you have their money and you want to satisfy them. Until they have bought a membership, don't ever think about giving them enough to get off, or you will burn off 99% of your sales on the tour or in your free giveaway galleries.

As a webmaster, I would never promote a site that gives that much away.

Roger... that is TERRIBLE! 5 minutes is more than enough for any punter to pull the pud to. Sorry, but you want to TEASE them, not PLEASE them.

At 30 seconds or 15 seconds, it might be a cool thing... but at 5 minutes, forget it!

They will watch two clips and leave town... after they have finished cleaning themselves up. It's the same clip every time... but 4 minutes and 10 second of free video is just way too much.

Your concept might be good, but there is no way that much free anything is good for business.
