New Forum Design ... opinions please!!!!

This is a layout design ... there's a load of elements in there ... so don't judge layouts ... But I'd love some opinions and critiques .... before I get it coded up and running.

not bad, some wasted space in the top with all the red where you could seel some banner ads.

word of advice, blur out the logo here on gfy so you dont get banned....

what board script will you use for that site? anyone here know a ggod and reliable bb script that is very easy to integrate to a design?

however ... it's a tutorials site for photoshop and stuff ... nothing to do with the adult industry directly ... tho it may help some people. I've seen other forums linked to plenty of times.

Don't ask me ... I aint coding it :) My coder will do all that stuff :) But I've thrown all this at him and he's said it will be no problem for us to have the site looking identical to my mock up, which pleases me :D

You think? I went dark so the text and images stand out more. The eye naturally closes the pupil when faced with a lot of light... so images surrounded by white appear darker. Images surrounded by black or dark colors, always appear brighter. This is the thinking behind my dark tones. The reds and whites are cristal clear.

Anyone else hating the dark?

i like it :) and i think i will be using it, cause i need some photchop skill to learn :)

Looks good. My opinion is to use the same colors as the cartoon character.

ohh nice. i haven't done that as well... that would be a lot of work. the first board that i tried was ikonboard which is a pain in the ass if you are not familiar with cgi etc. lol. how much for that to be coded for your message board? anyways, forgot my opinion.. if i were you will put some toony elements in the header or something.

I like to use phpbb, it's free and i am comfortable making skins for it. You can see an example of one I intergrated in pokersurvival.com

The colors look very agressive too, try with another.

Well, we'll have a toon soon... the forum is going to be built up as a community that helps each other out with art tutorials etc ... we'll have a gallery section for artists to show art off etc ....

It's not an adult forum ... But obvioulsy I thought I'd get some opinions from this forum as people know me here. :)

My personal opinion is that it is very bright. Bloody red! Bad for perception.

LOL... I liked the red... lol ... I'm gonna get the coder to build it and then I'll see how it feels ... if it feels bad, I'll change it ... but it's split here... many many people like the red... remember, the main text etc is all white ... which shows up crystal clear on the dark grey ... GFY knows it ... it uses the same idea... except mine is darker grey. Anyways ... thanks for the opinions.... :D
