I know it is forbidden to buy alcohol on voting weekend.

It used to be in NY but they changed it a few years back to after 12:00pm. Now we live in GA and there's no beer/alcohol sales on Sundays. Those 2 states that I know of, I'm sure there are several others.

connecticut is not in the bible belt and they have this law, you also can't buy booze after 8pm. these are called blue book laws.

yeah in SC we can't buy beer or any alcohol on sundays and lots of things like malls and junk can't open before 1 PM , blue laws ....

In a city near mine you can't buy alcohol after 11 pm any day of the week, it's complete bullshit if you ask me.

Try going to a 24 hour supermarket after 11pm to buy some wine...

it was the same here in South Africa, I think they changed it some time this year, you can imagine my shock when I saw a bottle store opened on Synday for a first time
