Where Would You Live In The West, USA?

If you could live anywhere in the Western USA, where would it be and why?

City?
Area?
State?
Reason?

San Diego. Really beautiful there and great climate. People were super friendly, also.

Only other place would be maybe the Phoenix area or one of the surrounding cities.

No offense, but definitely not Washington or Oregon. The rain and grey weather would drive me insane.

Phoenix... although I just moved to Buckeye, AZ

I have to agree on all counts - SD and Phoenix are great.

I have so many amazing friends in LA, but the place and other people drive me nuts.

LOVE visiting Washington, but a real long period could see the weather driving me batty.

:thumbsup

No offense taken Holly. :thumbsup

I am originally from SLC, Utah but have lived in Seattle for the last 18 years. I spent 4 months in Las Vegas this summer from April to Labor Day and really enjoyed the dry heat. But people seemed so down and discouraged there when you get away from the fun and glitz of the strip and mega resorts.

I really need to find a new place and settle in for a while. I have been thinking San Diego which I love but it is so expensive. So I am interested in hearing as many opinions as possible.

If I could afford it, hands down it's gotta be San Diego, CA.
I used to hang out alot in PB when I was a kid.

Here in Vegas is pretty decent. Awfully hot in the summer though.
Oh, and no ocean. that kinda sucks. But you can buy a beer at 4 AM and a hooker too if you have an extra $100.
