A couple months ago he purchased tix for the Aerosmith/Motley Crue concert that is going on tonight. Unfortunately, there is only one way in to Hyundai Pavilion and he has gone about 4 miles in the last 2 hours, and there is still another 5 miles to go to get there.

Park and hoof it.

Walking is 2.5 times faster than he's going.

he could run into the nearest walmart and buy a bike.......

I did that about 3 years ago at the Coliseum. We were at the on-ramp by 3pm, think we finally got to the Coliseum and parked (only a few blocks) around 7pm. Missed half the festival.

Actually, he told me people are parking their cars on the side of the freeway and walking, but I have a feeling those people are going to be pretty bummed when they come back to find their cars gone.

Is there an opening act? Maybe that will give him some time.

Hyundai Pavilion is in the middle of nowhere, and he would need at least 2 bikes.

Motely Crue is probably the opening act . . but to be honest, if he gets in, he still has to deal with that crap on the way out, and he has to be at work at 6:30 AM.

The last time I went there for OzzFest I ended up going to Vegas afterwards because traffic back to LA sucked.

I won't forget myself if I already have the ticket and yet, still missed the show.

Just talked to him.

He missed Motely Crue, but got to see Aerosmith. Unfortunately, they only played about 8-10 songs, so about an hour. Luckily, it only took him 30 minutes to get home.

So, to summarize: 4.5 hours to get there, 1 hour of entertainment, and 30 minutes to get back.

I think he is still debating whether or not it was worth it.
