Enjoy man, that sounds good.

What the fuck is yum cha.

Also while I am at it, someone clue me in on why many Asian places seem to love the words; happy, delight, yum, and double?
I am serious. I am sure I could find some place somewhere that has a Double yum happy delight noodle or something on its menu.

ASM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yum_cha
and ya you've got a point about how they always manage to work those words into there menu, it's the same in every country as well. Must be an inside joke. :)

Batts which place did you go to for it?, when you get back.

They're just conventional names. Chinese are very much into happiness and prosperity, so usually, they try to give their shops names that reflect or symbolise that. Superstition thing. Kinda like shops/restaurants that have aquariums or ponds so that money or good chi would "flow" in.

I live 5 minutes walk from 4 of the best Yam Cha spots in this town.

Might explain why I have racked a few pounds back on since I have been home !!

And enjoyed EVERY fucking minute of it.

Because Asians have mastered marketing to Americans. As long as they play the subserviant, can't speak "Engrish", look at all the pavillion roof tops , act, they will continue to make Billions.
They are fucking brilliant. Have you ever seen Hong Kong? There's more Pagota rooftops, and tassles hanging in SF, LV , LA , and NY, than there ever were in China. They are selling us what we think we know about them. and driving Maybachs to the bank.
Pure Marketing Brilliance.
Same with Black People and todays rap. There are more white kids, buying that new crap, than blacks ever have. Because they are buying the illusion that rappers are selling them.
As we all know every little 12 year old white girl in the country has to keep up her street creds in case some shiznit jumps off at perochial school, ....ya heard!:pimp

reynold 11-12-2006 08:19 AM

sinclair 11-12-2006 10:22 AM

E$_manager 11-12-2006 10:40 AM
