My issue with Borat movie. No personal spoilers.

Ok I get it and also feel it was more hype than not. Regardless that is just a personal taste issue of course.

My issue with it was that the vast majority of the viewing audience was laughing their ass off because well the person next to them was. I seriously know many if not most of the people did not even get the underlining jokes and issues, sort of like young children watching early Warner Brothers propaganda cartoons and not aware of the other issues.

interesting thread

You underestimate the stupidity of your fellow Americans. It is a little known fact that there is a laugh track in the movie. The audience is laughing because they heard laughing, period.

I loved it though, and found it quite funny. :)

I laughed because it was funny

By the way please try to keep the thread spoiler free. I personally hate when people spoil shit for me.

Though topic areas are fine. If you understood what I was getting at in first post.

I guess the real reason I don't get it is because I'm Canadian.I see immigrants do the same shit everyday..it's nothing new.I wasn't a big AliG fan to begin with

interesting.. I got to see it for my self

I watched it by myself in my room and died laughing.

When people watch TV, play games, watch movies together its a more enjoyable experience and they tend to laugh a LOT more. At any show or movie. I fail to see why you think laughing in groups is such a bad or odd thing. Who cares why they laugh?

Nah, I get it. Still, that happens with lots of shows and movies anymore.

Though I do love picking up on jokes and comments that others don't understand. Thats always fun.

Frankly I'm more entertained by the people debating over whether or not the movie was "real".

Woah there, I'm Canadian and it was hilarious. Just because you didn't get it doesn't mean you have to drag your country down with you.

I loved most the movie and laughed my ass off, was some pretty great (albeit fucked up) humor. I love how the character Borat managed to get on WAPT16... rofl. That poor lady that booked him got fired over that.
