12 months of fun on the caraibean island of curacao
 

I have been walking drunk on the beach a lot of days.
Latina women were all over me and my wallet. They abused me and I abused them the way god intended it.
I have kissed the dolphins, I have taken the dives and I have partied till I hit the ground.

And now..after a year...I find myself craving for art, science and classical music.....

What led you to the island? Why don't you go exploring other places in the Caribbean?

I needed to adjust a lot! The pace of the island and the fact that it after a while the island closes in on you were the hardest.

Both have good things and bad things. I will probably end up having a house in both countries and changing as the seasons change.

Damn man this brings back memories, I spent 9 months on the Island of Curacao and the closing feeling is called Island fever, I had it to and had to leave the rock and get back into civilisation ;-)

Hahaha I have been back to The Netherlands 3 times allready and I am planning a lot of shows this year.

yeah besides the weather, the caribbean can be hella boring after awhile.....I was even bored A LITTLE BIT when I visited jamaica.

And I can't wait until my lease is up...seven more months to go and i'm outta here.

Ai...and they look at Jamaica as the capital island here...

What exactly do you do for 9 months? I know some people from Hawaii and they go nuts after a while, and I would imagine Hawaii has a lot more going on than Curacao.

I love the whole tropical paradise idea, but I don't know how long I could hack it without the basic luxuries I've grown accustomed to.

People move to the Caribbean like its an escape to paradise, but after awhile you're ready to go someplace else. I lived in Puerto Rico for awhile. I had more fun after I moved inland away from the coast and away from paradise.

Changing with the seasons sounds perfect... so... i guess we will welcome you back to NL around april??

I thought Curacao is a very small island...
