Scam ? Of course ! Well it depends (for serious webmasters only)

Ok let's just imagine that a host signs up to some sponsors.
He then redirects the targeted niche traffic to the right sponsors
For an hour, then 2, then bahhh who cares a hole day or more !

Now i should add that i've been online for ten years and that i have grey hair
(fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkk hehehehehehehehe, well some grey hair, not a lot, anyways)

Is it a custom pratice these days ?

your webhost is stealing your sales?

Fabien 11-10-2006 04:13 PM

Hummm i just thought that it could be an employee ???????????????????
That could think about doing a couple of fast bucks. Who knows ??????

klinton 11-10-2006 05:06 PM

hmmmm I don't know where you host but such practice wouldn't be good in longterm for them...
maybe it is some hack ?

Enema 11-10-2006 05:13 PM

"He then redirects the targeted niche traffic to the right sponsors"

that line doesn't make sense to me.

To confirm, are you saying that your webhost is taking traffic going to specific niche websites of yours and is redirecting them to his own affiliate code somewhere else?

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-10-2006 05:16 PM

sounds like something is fishy....

Kimo 11-10-2006 05:38 PM

what the fuck

esnem 11-10-2006 05:45 PM

if this was ever done on a large scale it wouldn't be too hard for a program's fraud dept. to spot...for the host, it wouldn't be anywhere near worth the risk.

OneHungLo 11-11-2006 12:26 AM

BUMP

what host was it?

Phoenix 11-11-2006 02:00 AM

im sure it happens

most likely how your data gets stolen as well

fuckin shady pricks

Sly 11-11-2006 02:03 AM

I would lean more towards somebody hacking your server and skimming traffic moreso than your host doing such a thing. There are many very reputable hosts in this industry, if you're having doubts about your current provider, why not switch to someone that hundreds of others trust?

marko13 11-11-2006 02:13 AM

everything is possible.... but if you know about some hosting that tell us the name...
