Amex is probably the best for rewards. I use RBC Gold Visa because its one of very few USD currency cards that have points, although they're not great in terms of rewards.

I have to say ROCKS cause you probably know by now this is one of the
very few US cards that offers rewards most banks don't .
As for Amex I had some Platnium Card i recently cancelled I never used
it ever :winkwink:

Yeah, its one of the few USD cards with points but the points aren't great compared to Amex or Avion cards for example. The catalog of what you can spend the points on sucks too, the only thing that caught my interest was the use of private jets you can charter although that starts at 800,000 points.

I do like the rewards program from Amex but they won't issue a USD currency card for us Canadians which really blows, I don't want to get hit with the 1/2 percent currency exchange on each transaction.

The thing is, the catalog of what you can redeem with RBC USD Visa's aren't that great.

The redemption rate is horrible compared to the Avion cards for example though. Avion points are really good, but they're only on CDN cards :(

Not to mention you have to book through their travel agency which are much more expensive than expedia or travelocity.
