Setting up Adobe Photoshop 7.0 on WinXP >> HELP!

Okay guys, I'm setting up PS7 on my new computer that has WinXP, everything worked perfectly on my old computer with Win98, but when I install it on WinXP the only thing I get in my color palet is magenta. When I open files they show up in magenta colors.

Adobe ImageReady works fine, all the colors are correct.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

hmmm, get a DOS boot disk, start FDisk, delete your current partition, create a new primary partition with FAT32.... format that partition!

The get a W2k Boot-CD, insert it into your cd-drive, make sure that CD is loaded before the HDD and then install W2k. Don't forget to re-delete that FAT32 partition in W2k and add an NTFS partition!

Then download some bugfixed and SP2 and then you can install Photoshop 7 and it works perfectly!

don't ditch xp just yet... if your comp came with it on, you could end up with a ton of problems(experienced it) i just put photo 7 on my new xp laptop and it asked to configure the colors during the install.

well fuck it then... nevermind :thumbsup
