I need a new laptop!!! HELP PLEASE!
 

The other day someone posted a 1 day WalMart sale for a Compaq, where all stores got like 30 of them... well, of course they are all sold out (I called tons)...

So, besides Dell being the next best option...

Any others with lower cost that should perform equal or better to a $550 Dell?

i picked up an ath64 3500 1gig ram 100gb hdd for $800CAD

13.3" screen... way too small

only powerbook here but according to some reviews the apple macbook is superior - especially its ability to run osx and windows on the same hard disk. But im not sure if they have solved the overheat problems :Oh crap

Macbooks are nice, but I prefer my Macbook Pro. The Pro is high quality and is out of your price range as quoted. The macbook is a great comp though. My sister has one and loves it. Macs are some of the best on the market if you can afford one.
