Well well... that's earlier than I expected. It should be interesting to see how sales do.

The question is will you try it? I will, but on a shitty box that I have laying around. I'll just pop a couple of gigs of ram into it and see how it operates before I swap full out. Thoughts?

I upgraded from 98SE to XP pretty fast (as in the first couple of days it was out) but I have absolutely no reason to upgrade to Vista. XP works and it works well... I'll end up skipping Vista and wait for their next OS.

I'll wait till the early adopters cry and bitch at MS to start releasing service packs to fix all of the bug fixes. Then I might think about it.

And I'm sure that a 3.6GB Service Pack 1 will be necessary by February 01. :1orglaugh

Actually, there was a patch back in the RC1 build... Vista is already setting records for being the first OS to have a security patch BEFORE it was commercially released. :1orglaugh

I feel the same way, that's the reason why I'm gonna upgrade, XP boredom and Vista is gonna be refreshing.

As far as my system goes, I have an AMD 60FX dual core processor and 4-gigs of ram, with dual Geforce 7900 GTX SLI'd, so I'm ready for it :)

id wait 6 months until all bugs are ironed out, Windows Xp had massive problems when released with, modem, scanner and printer drivers :2 cents:

Ive got RC2 on my PC right now. It's pretty buggy and has a buncha compatibility problems.

I'd take it off if I didnt use my mac all the time... It is nice aesthetically.
