Are some people STUPID ? ( another zango thread )
What the fuck is going on with all these big sites hooking up with zango..
break.com and fleshbot both doing zango installs now. are these sites shooting themselves in the foot ? They have ads tricking people into thinking they are videos that are actually zango spyware. So their surfers will get infected with annoying spyware and their other advertisers income is slowly drained away as these surfers will just get competing advertisements when they click other ads on the page. Doesnt seem like they are looking into the longterm much. They sell their surfers out for a one time shot.. when they sell a dating site the surfer comes back and will buy other products in your ads, when they promote zango the user still comes back but your not going to make much money off them anymore end rant .. |
nice thread..good read

Yep, I'm hearing more and more of big traffic sites using a deceptive method for zango installs. Unfortunately they are looking at the quick easy buck and have no concern for how it may affect them in the long run. It also adds to the surfer's perception that going to porn sites may infect their pc after they realize they are in pop up hell from downloading an adult video.
|
What cracks me up is from others mentioning it here zango is only paying something shitty per install like 0.40 cents or so.
Sure on volume it may add up to a nice figure, but surly in comparison to say dating signups, the volume would shite all over it. -N |
$0.45 per install, thousands of installs a day.
That's all they're thinking about.... :disgust |
The answer is... YES... there's way to many morons looking for a quick buck with no long term plans.
|
I actually believe a lot of these sites are unaware of what zango really does. I bet if they were contacted and explained to them how zango really works, that their site visitors are going to get hit with lots of popups, will get hit with porn sites, and the advertisers on their sites are going to lose money, which will cause them to lose advertisers and/or have to lower rates to make it profitable for them. And even worse if they are an affiliate to any of the other companies listed on their site they will be shooting themselves directly in the foot and will make very little affiliate sales.
I think if educated, 1/2 would stop. I think 1/2 of the ones that kept doing it would stop if enough people complained about it. Unless your site gets 100% us traffic, you don't make any money on the installs from lots of other countries, i believe the us is .40 canada and few other english speaking countries are lik .06 cents and you get nothing for the rest of the world. |
BTW, these are the people we really need to go after. We can bash the fucking moron sponsors who buy traffic from zango, but it is the people who are doing the installs that are hurting us the most. The more people installing fucking shit, the more computers with it and the smaller our market shrinks.
Keep digging up companies smokey. I would like to get that list from you when you finish and I will add it to a site I am working on. |
fuck zango!!!!!!!!!!!
|
break really dont give a fuck about anyone
entensity also do zango i think |
wonder what a few major press release would do for these fuckers (mainstream/none adult) who promote spyware/zango
I bet lots of news stations would warn their viewers of specific popular sites to never download anything from. |
Where do you see zango on break.com?
can't find it. |
Smokey, :thumbsup nice work!
|
0.45 cents? Shit thats not a bad investment for hijacking all the traffic from a computer for the next 2-4 years.

If you care about your business, send those sites an email...

I found it on the games pages, on the right side towards the top, square ad spot that rotates ads. It looks like a youtube video with the play button in the middle of the video image. You might have to hit refresh a few times. LOL one of the ones rotating in the same spot was monster.com which is being targeted on zango by: http://www.job.com/my.job/sup/jsOn=1 I wonder if monster.com would appreciate that if they knew. |

Well think about it like this. The fuckers are paying you .40 to do the install and then charging sites like AFF .03 - .05 a pop up. I think they admitted somewhere they were doing like 20 pop ups a day, but shit I got that in just the last hour collecting sponsors who use them. Hell I have had 3 and 4 popups while on the same site. So if you figure someone gets 20 popups a day zango makes their money back in about 16 hours. and then makes profit the next 2- 4 years. When something is that too good to be true there should be red flags going off that it is illegal. |
Zango is the devil
|
The answer is here check out zangoblacklist.com! They are out to take down Zango!
|
Well there is a solution to all this, if people are willing to pull together. This solution also represents an opportunity for alot of people :2 cents:
