The Democratic Party has become more moderate over time, and their agenda is in reality BARELY indistinguishable from the Republican agenda. All the shit that has been flung for the last few years has been POLITICS. Not policy, not a new direction, but school-yard name calling on a global scale. "George Bush is a moron" is NOT a political platform.

its weird that people don't get this. "that guy is an idiot" is not a vision people can align themselves behind... its not a new direction, its not something to aspire towards, its not a dream for what people want the future to be, its not motivational.. its not inspirational.

partisan politics aside, democrats don't seem to have shit to offer either... like it has been for almost a decade now... people are simply voting against the other guy and not voting for a future they believe in and for the people they think can make it happen.

It's NOT a democracy, this is a common mistake people make. US government system is a Constitution-based federal republic with some democratic traditions.

I still dont get why people think democrats = freedom fighters. I hate the fundamentalist path republicans have taken latley, but the business person & tax payer inside me could never vote for a democrat (see fdr and the dildo he shoved up our ass with his "new deal"). The economy is strong, gas prices are low, and somehow or another the democrats are going to improve on that

To win consistently in this country you have to play to the center. Ask the democrats, every time they've strayed too far to the left they've gotten their clocks cleaned at the polls. Until recently the republicans were much, much better at playing the middle (even Reagan), but no more.
