It's been a great night for democrats, and much needed.

I however wish the democrats won this big based on their policy and ideas, and not just because the country hates Bush and his policies.

Hopefully these next two years provide insite into the direction of the party so they have a real shot in 2008.

When you don't follow the WILL of the American People, the American People WILL remove you from power.

That is the beauty of our system, however bad it is at times, it always corrects itself when it is tilted too far to one side.

:thumbsup

Isn't that the truth KRL. The country works better with both parties with a piece of the power.

a very good point. let's not get too excited yet. the democrats did not WIN so much as the republicans LOST. unfortunately, the democrats have been acting like fair weather politicans for the last 12 years. it's time for them to put up or shut up. i pray there's real change coming, but i doubt it.

took the words out of my mouth..

the democrats have been armchair quarterbacking it for years, so lets see what they can do now. i want them to win the senate, since they already won the house.. that way they don't have any excuses for not getting things done.

Bush sending a squad to fix the election in Montana ;D

smack 11-08-2006 04:03 AM

ah god, i feel like i can breath again.

i've been watching the election coverage all night, and i am very happy with the outcome. the only thing that could have made it better would have been majority control of the senate, but sometimes you can't have all.

the senate shouldn't be too bad though. if the independants caucus with the dems like i believe they will, it should make things much better.

i am so glad to finally see a positive change in our politics for a change. it is about fucking time.

cheers! :glugglug

Which is kinda strange - I always thought americans were for more personal freedom, less goverment, lower taxes etc. However they keep voting for the same two parties, which have as their goal to remove personal freedom, create more goverment, and more or less tax people to death? :helpme

Looking at the Libertarian Party, then yet again americans ignored them http://www.lp.org/ - why? :helpme

reynold 11-08-2006 09:09 AM

Well, congrats to Arnie for winning his second term. :pimp
