Who's got the page that really seals the deal? One that makes a BIG difference in conversions?

Hey bro, I know what you mean. There is a psychology to it and I think each site needs to have it's own custom join page. However, much of the sale needs to be done before the person even hits the join page.

Small example from my experience: I removed the cost of the join on my website and page www.exploitedcollegegirls.com/ccbill and sales went down. I put the cost of the join back onto the page and sales went back to normal. I did this a few different times to make sure that it was the real reason. Sure enough, people responded or felt more compelled to whip out their credit cards when the price was visible. This is just my site experience -- yours may be completely different.

i think that this one is summing up that a join page should have. It tells the surfer what they get. Prices are there plus several billing options and support.

Yup, I like this "joining for dummies" with step 1, step 2.

A good join page, in my opinion: It looks like it belongs to the site (many do not), it clearly points out what the new member gets (which sites can I access, how much for how many days) and it doesn't ask for credit card details on the first page, "soft version".

It's amazing how much effort some programs put in tour pages, just to throw up an ugly join page that irritates the visitor...especially those already checked cross-sale checkboxes some programs hide in their signup forms don't make a site look very thrustworthy :2 cents:
