    Direct TV Salesman?

Does anyone sell or know someone who sells Direct TV's from a web site? If so please send me an e-mail at [email protected] I would like to ask several questions.

I know I can sale the systems online, but what about chargebacks? In the USA you must have a store front which I do not have. I just want to sell them online and use some creative marketing.

there are a few online sponsorship programs that do that already, you could just go threw them and let them deal with it

Do you have an iCQ # bro? Would be much easier. I don't want anyone to skim my profits. I want to be the one 100% of it.

Well usually when people buy them from a store(near the Canadian border) one of the things they'll ask for is a credit card number. I would think it would be pretty hard for someone too chargeback a sat purchase if they were also paying the direct tv bill with a visa or master card.

You too eh. It was easy money, especially when they'd send an ecm down. I made out like a bank robber when that bs one came down.

When I first read this board I was thinking RAM just might be the famous one from the dtv scene.

I am just concerned about the charge backs. What if they get the system, then cancel a credit card, hook up an H-card and are 500 miles away from where I live? I can't do anything legally.

It's not like selling adult paysite memberships though. They buy a product, you ship it too them with a tracking number, they receive it and you have a record of this. Pretty hard for them to charge back on a purchase like that. You'll probably get some but then anyone who sells a product and accepts payment by credit card is susceptible to charge backs or fraud.

                      yys,

No, you get charge backs when they cut their 12 month service short. Then I have to pay Directv a charge back.

Gimme a break, DirectTv wants you to guarantee that their customer is going to be happy with their service for 12 months after you sell one of their packages to someone. I wouldn't get involved with a deal like that.

Yep, that is why I am curious and want to ask some webmasters who have sold directv systems in the past. Someone is making money off of this.

Industry standard. Same with cell phones, long distance...pretty much anything telecom, you gotta deal with chargebacks. And from what I understand, DishNetwork is even worse than Dtv on 'em.

I never could figure out why someone would buy a sat dish off the internet anyways. You can, or you used to be able too buy them at stores like walmart for $40-$50. If they wanted a credit card to sign you up for one of the programming packages you could just tell them it was a gift for someone.

I'll add that I know Radio Shack was a bitch about getting your credit card info before they'd sell it too you.

Worse, now...from what I understand, you are required to sign a 1 year contract, and then Dtv mails you your smart card. It seems all the evil pirates would go boy a shit ton of systems down at the Wal-Mart, and then run them over the border for evil purposes.

we use to cross the border, go to walmart buy 40 or 50 systems, then go to the dumpster out back and throw out all the recievers after gutting them for cards. this use to be common practise intill walmart put a padlock on there dumpsters cards were and are still worth alot of money!

Hyper thank you for the Spam link to a shitty web site that involves network marketing and not offering any advice towards the situation at hand.
