Americans What Does The Mid Term Elections..

What does it mean for the USA? There's a lot on the news about it right now about how Bush could lose Congress...

What exactly does that mean tho? It weakens his power/authority? What?

hopefully the house & senate will change from Republican controlled to Democrat controlled. that would put the president in a bind because he would have to answer to a Democrat majority.

Basically it would signifigantly lessen his power. Right now the Congress is Republican and they rubber stamp anything Bush wants. If either the House or Senate goes Democrat, it makes it much harder for him to pass legislation.

Another issue is investigation and accountability. Right now Republicans control that in the House and they won't investigate anything right now. Katrina, Iraq, etc. If Dems get power, they'll run tons of investigations into the mistakes that have been made.

Not much will change from a policy standpoint, probably much less crap happening and maybe the parties actually working together for once.

If Bush loses Congress, if means that a bunch of rich, corrupt, criminal, bitches that support him will be replaced by a bunch of rich, corrupt, criminal, bitches that don't.

I kinda thought this would happen. You see so much on the news about it tho, different channels saying different things.

They're saying here that if Bush looses Congress and Senate, then its likely he won't win the next election...

It's called the feel-good-factor. It gives anyone who cares, the opportunity and sarisfaction in having their say and electing another set of crooks to replace the old crooks.

It means whatever crooks are in power can forget who supported them till the next feel-good-factor time comes around. Some call it voting :)

Last presidential election candidates spent almost $900,000,000.00 trying to get elected to a $400,000.00 a year job.
