NaughtyBank Hummer H2 & $10,000.00 Drawing Broadcast LIVE!

Our Hummer H2 & $10,000.00 webmaster referral contest ended last week on November 1st. Every new sale sent to NaughtyBank from May 16, 2006 to November 1, 2006 earned one ticket into the drawing that will be held live at Webmaster Access in Los Angeles this week.

Of course there is no requirement to be present to win. In fact, if you are unable to attend the show in person you can still participate by joining us for the live chat and video broadcast of the drawing at 5:00 PM PST on Friday November 10th. You can view the live broadcast by going directly to http://www.naughtyallie.com/livedrawing/ or from the link located on the homepage at NaughtyBank.

Good luck to everyone who participated in the contest! Hope to see you in LA!

What's the procedure for choosing the winner? are you simply going to pick a name out of a hat from those who entered? If so how can anyone be sure that you aren't just stacking the bowl with the names of personal friends or someone you have made a prior arrangement with?, or favoring someone who sent you 400 joins vs someone who sent only 5? Just curious because it's unusual for a couple of relatively small amateur sites to award prizes of this nature and it would be easy to rig for the exposure without an unbiased and non affiliated third party overseeing it and verifying things. Should i win though i'll post a followup confirming it's legit since i know i'm not in on it ;-)

squishypimp 11-07-2006 06:46 PM

good luck to everyone :)

Fat Panda 11-07-2006 07:44 PM

You are right, i would assume most stuff like this would be rigged. I also believe that *legally* they cannot even do the drawing like this. Someone else will have to fill me in, but for prizes over a certain ammount, there are a set of procedures you need to follow, things need to be audited etc etc. Doing it wrong = Fraud.

squishypimple 11-07-2006 09:00 PM

That's nice. Congrats to the winner!

Well Paul, I guess since your last attempt to stir-up controversy went relatively unnoticed and had you banned you?ve decided to register a new nick and try again. Since you have no entries into this drawing and have no stake in this contest it makes me wonder why you would be so concerned with the procedures and call into question our reputation.

To our affiliates who have sent their valuable traffic to NaughtyBank and actually do have a stake in this contest I can assure you that we?ve taken all the appropriate measures to ensure the integrity of this contest. In addition to what has taken place behind closed doors we?ve also opened the following aspects of this drawing to public scrutiny in order to avoid any speculation of the contest being ?fixed?:

1. All the tickets for the drawing will be placed in a CLEAR acrylic raffle drum.
2. The raffle drum will be on full public display in front of everyone in attendance at Webmaster Access for the entire day of the drawing.
3. Each ticket has the webmaster?s name and affiliate ID printed on the face of the ticket and will be visible to anyone at the show. Even a quick glance at the raffle drum will show at least several thousand tickets, each having a different name and affiliate ID.
4. A ticket will be randomly drawn from this CLEAR acrylic raffle drum in full view of several hundred webmasters immediately following the ?State Of The Industry Seminar?.
5. In addition to the several hundred people who will be physically present to witness the tickets in the raffle drum and the drawing itself there will also be a Live Broadcast for anyone who is interested in the outcome of the drawing.

Last but not least, as with any business relationship there has to be a certain element of trust between all parties involved. Allie and I have been in this business for more than 6 years and have operated our sites and program with nothing but the greatest of integrity. Your reputation is all you have and once compromised there?s no going back. We?re certainly not going to put our reputation of 6 years at risk by attempting to influence the outcome of this contest in anyway.

IF you don't mind sharing, roughly how many entries are gonna be in the drawing ?? I know that you might not want to say the amount of entries because that would tell the world how many signups your program did in that time, which might be considered confidential and is totally understandable. I just wanna figure out what my chances are of winning, he he he.

generally I'd agree with this statement - but knowing jake and allie for several years, i know for a fact in my heart that they will conduct a real draw and this is totally legit.

I know there really is no way to prove it one way or the other - so it really comes down to this. Some people honor thier word - some don't.

Ask yourself this - do they pay and do everything upfront in their affilate program - if the answer is yes - then I'd assume everything is legit. Why would someone with a good rep SUDDENLY change and risk that - you may say for a new car - but realize - a program like jake and allies does in excess of 7 figgures a year. Why would they risk their reputation over something so little as a new car? A smaller program maybe - but seriously - they have one of the largest swinger programs on the net today - top 5 for sure.

also realize most of jake and allies good friends in the industry already HAVE new cars - and nicer than an H3.

Know someone's rep - ask around. I know a LOT of people, and I mean a LOT - in the webmaster community that PERSONALLY know jake and allie. From people that know them I've never heard a bad word against them. That says a lot about character. Everything they have done has been legit.

Personally I don't see any reason to believe this contest is anything other than legit and not fixed.

I believe it's totally legit.
