The value of a porn network?
I'm trying to help evaluate the selling price for a network of adult paysites.
There are 12 paysites plus a few free sites used for promotion. The network is currently generating income of around $14,000 per month. Are there any standards for evaluating what an adult business like this should be sold for? Thanks |
i always figure when selling 2 years revenue for my asking price
|
Also keep in mind if the content is exclusive etc...
|
If you are desperate, sell it for 2 years worth of income..
If you want to get something worth it....sell it for 5 years worth |
ROFL @ the experts
is $14k profit ? |
WTF are you guys on. 2-5 income years for a webbased porn business..!! No way in hell that is going to happen.
1 year, maybe 2 if you are very very lucky.. |
Most of the content (80% or so) is not exclusive. However, there are two solo girl sites that are have exclusive content. One is still active and updated weekly. The other is no longer updated.

lol at 2yrs projected income... When I get ready to cash out, it won't be for that :2 cents:

Things you need to consider ...
How much of the content transferrable to a new owner. How many more updates do you have for your solo girl site. How much traffic and from where are your free sites getting to promote these pay sites. Are the paysites strictly promoted by you, or do you have some sort of affiliate program. |
I'd say two years minimum. That's if desperate to unload.
But there are other factors needed in this. Is the $14k profit, or just income? You answered the exclusivity already. But a network of sites is a crown jewel in this business. I honestly think you need one to be competitive. Whether paysites, TGP, or whatever. That way you have more traffic control, and options on your own upsells, etc to keep the money in your own coffers. :2 cents: |
One year projected income.

The $14k is a conservative estimate on income. You would need to subtract for hosting and other expenses.
The content is all licensed to the business name. Since the whole business will be sold and the content will remain on the same URL's, I don't believe there is any need for license transfers. Whoever owns the business will own the content & licenses as well. There is a NATS referral program that has been partially setup, but it is not being used for any traffic yet. The new owner can choose to move forward with or without a referral program. We have several months of updates on hand for the solo girl site. Plus she wants to keep making new material. |
Ask for 2 years revenue. Don't take less than 1.
