sickkittens 11-06-2006 03:34 PM

OzMan 11-06-2006 03:52 PM

Sagi fonndled my penis last night

RawAlex 11-06-2006 04:39 PM

Lars, being that you are one of the major sponsors, rather than asking the downtrodden masses for an opinion, why not reach into your own book of conduct and figure it out? Having Squishypimp say "it's bad" won't change anything... but having cams/AFF come down and say "We will not purchase traffic from people who spam sites like blogger, myspace, and similar type sites"... well, that would make a huge difference.

Spam is spam. You should act accordingly.

oh yeah, zango still sucks.

Thanks we dont take traffic from myspace or yahoo spam or email spam or IM spam.

StickyGreen 11-06-2006 04:43 PM

they're killing profiles a lot quicker these days...i think they're hiring more employees or something lol...

SmokeyTheBear 11-06-2006 04:47 PM

playboy has a myspace page where they sell playboy memberships directly through myspace.. i dont see much different
if they were using my popup method they could be making even more money :)

StarkReality 11-06-2006 04:47 PM

Myspace spam is certainly no better than any other spam, but advertising on Myspace doesn't necessarily mean you are spamming. As long as someone has some advertising in his profile, runs a group with ads in it, etc. and doesn't send mass event invites or mass mails out, it's fine.

What I don't get is how "real" porn stars and sites like Playboy can have their profiles setup with links, banners, and pics yet when some shmoe does it, it gets canned right away.

Good points.

gfx3 11-06-2006 04:52 PM

Tons of camgirls on myspace, it's normal these chicks also use chatrooms, craiglist etc... to advertise their goodies. They are creative in promoting themselves, nothing wrong with that.

Don't really care as long as it is not being spammed by an invite bot or interferes with the user experience.

its asking for trouble in my opinion. main problem being is that you are marketing to a large percentage of minors.

So you don't take any form of spam but you are fine with scumware traffic that steals from all of us here. :upsidedow

Glad to know your policy on spam I will make sure to report everyone i see spamming AFF (which is everywhere) and report it to you since you said you will ban those accounts.

I might have to start reading my spam emails again.

MaddCaz 11-06-2006 10:45 PM

fuck myspace spam.

Thats what people using scumwear are doing when they package the "search assistant" in with kids games and shit.

marketsmart 11-06-2006 10:47 PM

um that is interesting...

On second thought, As much as I would like to point out thousands of instances where AFF affiliates are doing this, I don't want to fuck the affiliates here that are doing it. Wouldn't be fair to them. I would take a guess and say 1/3 of AFF's income is generated from those forms of "spam". It's just a guess, but you would be a fool to think it was not a substantial amount, as I see AFF everywhere in all of those things you mentioned.

If someone wants to send email and take the heat if they get caught, fine. If they send nude images and it goes to kids they deserve to go to jail. As long as people generate their own traffic, they are not stealing from me, so be it. I will let the sites (or govt for email spam) hold them accountable if they choose to do those things. They are not hurting any of us here which is 1000x better then what you are doing by using Scumware.

no but thanks for the compliment. It is a nice page, and now thanks to Lars will probably be copied 100x lol.

I didn't even notice what company they were using. I saw the url and assumed it was a membership site but since you asked me, I am assuming it was clickcash. Going to look again.

chucky27 11-06-2006 11:12 PM

good deal but not 4 me. ta

She is smooking hot. Why can't i find content like that. I see now it is a clickcash affiliate. I am sure lars was hoping it was me.

I am upset that he uses scumware which steals from us, so he would try to point out a myspace page that using clickcash. Nice comparison. I am sure you might trick a few sheep.

Why you have to rely on 'adware" that 99% of the people here thinks is bad and stealing from us, I think you should spend your time trying to "look for a solution" as you stated in your justification letter, instead of trying to point out what other companies are doing or not doing. You should be trying to clean up your own act first and foremost.

What forms of promotion can I use?
The majority of our affiliates promote Cams.com by placing our banners on their sites, but you may also join chat rooms, online clubs, etc. We strongly encourage you to remember chat room rules- it is better to simply talk about the benefits of meeting people on our site instead of just posting a URL. Please review our spam policy within our Affiliate Agreement.

SleazyDream 11-16-2006 01:32 AM

Lars -I ask it like this - how do you feel about people that use your membership base on AFF to spam their stuff?
