Anyone ever reopen a frozen Paypal account?
 

A long time ago Paypal screwed me (someone purchased something from me and claimed they never got it even when I showed proof of delivery - Paypal claims that as a seller that's all I need but apparently not).

I spent months trying to deal with this but they kept ignoring me.

Anyways, I contacting someone recently and they claimed that I could reopen my account if I sent them the $ for the negative balance.

They said just to send them a money order and someone would review the case and CONSIDER reopening my account.

The "consider" part gets me. Does that mean they can take my money and still keep my account frozen?

Anyone ever run into a situation like this?

good luck with that shit i'd tell them to kiss my ass especially if you've already proven that whatever you sold was shipped and so on. thats one war thats just not worth fighting you'll send them the cash they'll apply it towards your negative balance transfer you to some indian reading off a script and tell you they can't do anything to reactivate your account.

i'm guessing you had no funds in the account especially if you were left with a negative balance, so atleast you don't have to worry about claiming funds they locked you out of...

It wasn't a huge amount but it sucks knowing that I have to pay Paypal and somewhere out there the person who fucked me over still has my shit that I "sold" to them.

At this point I know I can't win my money back. I just want them to give me access to my account.

why does it haqve to be an indian reading a script

no offense or anything just 99.9% of these larger corporations outsource to call centers in india, can't take that shit anymore everytime i call a support line i get a foreigner who can't speak english well at all and can't help me in any way shape or form...

if you had a neg balance they'll send your ass to collection. I shit you not. They did it to me and it cost me 970 bucks

i did it once, had to fax them every piece of my personal docs. social security card, drivers license, bank statement, utility statement, and more.

it was hell...
