Happy Birthday present to myself!
Well, it's been 3 months since I first came out to L.A. and sat down to talk business with a great group of people that are veterans in the content community. 10+ years veterans to be exact.
I was approached in mid July about the possibility of me relocating back to L.A. (which I had been hoping to do asap). Throughout the course of a few weeks time, I researched the network and looked at the existing and future content and projects that they have on their plate. I was extremely impressed by the assets, angle, and customer demographics for their products. I noticed immediately the reach and potential that exists. On my birthday, August 5th, 2006 I made a deal to rebuild and promote what I feel is one of the most under saturated, untapped and unexploited content banks that exists. A veritable gold mine just sitting there, waiting to be mined.
Although a web presence exists, it is no where near the depth that it can go. That's where I come in. Our launch date for SHANE'S WORLD v2.0 is slated for early 2007.
I will be responsible for the internet operations and rebuild of
SHANES WORLD.
If there ever was a company that I fit perfectly into, it's this one. Partying, wacky cornball fun and games, getting crazy, naked spring break type content, road trips, insane practical jokes, and just overall, not taking stuff to serious is the mantra of Shane's World. With a 10+ year reputation of shooting good reality content, the foundation is there, all we have to do is put it together. This content appeals to a quadfecta of customer demographics, and its all based here in Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. This opportunity is what I have been waiting for since I first picked up the keyboard. It's a perfect fit!

So, there you have it. I have had a great run so far in this business. I've made no enemies, never fucked anyone, kept my nose clean, and learned from everyone around me. I am very happy, excited, and thankful to SHANE'S WORLD for considering me to be apart of their family and I look forward to rebuilding this program into something that every single one of you can find a reason to promote. The amazing Megan Stokes has stepped up the ladder and is now the Vice President of Sales on the video side of the company.
I am asking that people do not sign up at the moment. Please allow me the time it will take to turn SHANE'S WORLD into something that you'll be proud to promote. She needs some work, but the potential is worth waiting for. ShanesWorld.com will remain intact and represent the video side of the business, while ShanesWorldOnline.com will rise to represent web traffic and affiliate promotion.
