Why would I leave? Many of the posters here have nothing to do with the industry. I was in it from June 1997 until September 2006. Again, why should I leave? Did Serge leave? Nope, still here. 12 clicks wasn't in the business for several years, but he was here too.

Are you uncomfortable when I speak about religion? I don't start threads telling you all to come to Jesus or anything like that. I talk about my beliefs in threads where people put my name in the title. I start a thread or two here or there about random other issues, such as the thread I started a few minutes ago about Saddam Insane... err... Hussein.

I think it's because people think that it would go against your morals or ethics or beliefs or against god to post in an adult forum.

It just calls into question your sincerity. If you are truly a "former" pornographer, then why do you continue to do what pornographers do, including hanging out on a pornographers' bbs?

Donny is doing what good christians are suppose to do: Minister to your flock. Donny now sees each and every one of us as lost souls, the downtrodden that need to find god. He is smart enough not to get into direct "god is great" sermons, but his presence is there to remind us of our wasteful lives of sin and debauchery.

I also think that he is keeping one foot in the water because 6 months from now, when he realizes his situation fully, he will be back snapping beaver shots and trying to make a living because ex-porn dude isn't exactly a high paying job.

There might just be some truth to this....

Donnie has a right to post here. While I admit it's odd because "Donnie has found God", there are many people here who have moved away from the adult industry yet continue to post. He's still somewhat knowledgeable about the industry, and still interested in what's going on.

Once he discovers that God doesn't pay his bills there is a good chance he'll be back.

Pornographers also eat, breathe, etc. I do all of those things as well. Sometimes I even do them in the presence of other pornographers. Oh no.

I no longer produce porn. That doesn't mean I need to run away from those who do. That would be judgmental.

I come back once in awhile when someone starts a thread with my name in the title. I get into that thread, then hang around a bit long and sometimes start one or two of my own.

There is no chance of this happening. I'm not doing bad financially. I've been busier than ever with new projects that involve my new beliefs. Will my lifestyle be toned down? Oh yeah. I'll live a much more simple life, but there are many other rewards that far outweigh the "toys" more money buys. I won't miss the toys too much. Notice I said "too much", because there will definitely be times I'll wish I was out on the lake or times after I lose this house where I'll wish I still lived here.

But life is full of change and adjustment. To think there is no money available outside of the adult industry is quite ridiculous.

i don't really think he thinks that.

i myself am the grandson of grandparents that are deacons in their parrish. i was raised much the way donny was probably. had to attend church wednesday nights, sundays and 2 weeks a year vacation bible school.


religion was forced down my throat. i would question things that had no factual evidence as a child and be answered with "you just have to have the fatih". i do not believe in all that stuff anymore because it was forced on me as a child.

when i left home to join th military at 17 i left all of that stuff behind.

religion did not affect my life again until around late 2001 when the busty-amateurs owner found god. it was a living hell (pardon the pun) in our office for almost an entire year as he tried to jump to the mainstream market with a web based contact management and personal information management software company. he would force us to sit in the mornings while he prayed and attempted many times to get us all to join his "church" u hheem cult in san diego. thankfully, i survived and found my way back to the adult promised land.

i do not have any non good thoughts about donny and i do not think that he is acting in a way that people should worry about being converted. if you don't wholeheartedly believe that you are doing something wrong, then what is there to convert you from. if anyone has moral issues with what they are doing then maybe they should take a look inside to make sure you are doing the right thing. i don't feel negative or wrong about anything. i freely tell everyone what i do in public, on the web, anywhere. to the point that i have embarrassed people that i am with at the time.

donny isn't sticking around to convert people. he still has friends here. he can stay as long as he wants as far as i am concerned as he is part of the community, has helped create this online community, and contributes to it even as a born again.

Exactly. I hate that attitude. I've been talking with pastors about it actually, and this morning the pastor of the church where I've been attending spoke a little about it and told Christians they're supposed to be representing Jesus and need to stop the judgmental intolerance. It was great hearing him say that.
