I counted 17 contests running right now on this page...

I can't see shit with all the contests threads slamming this board. Wow.

martinsc 11-04-2006 11:16 PM

too many contests lately...
and the bots win them all...

mikeyddddd 11-04-2006 11:24 PM

And I saw another thread bitching about it.

Why open another thread?

Why don't people check to see if threads are open on a subject before opening new ones?

Maybe if we all start threads complaining about them we might knock the contests down the page and get something done.

You can't be serious. :1orglaugh

Truth is, i was blinded by all the contest threads to notice.

SleazyDream 11-04-2006 11:45 PM

maybe gfy needs a contest area seperate from the main area...... :2 cents:

mikeyddddd 11-04-2006 11:59 PM

Earlier today there were two threads about whether people should use RSS feeds for their blogs.

And I don't know how many about squishypimp being banned.

I'd just like to see single threads dealing with the same subject rather than having to check several that may be of interest.

MaddCaz 11-05-2006 12:03 AM

gaunt....

MaddCaz 11-05-2006 12:07 AM

what we need to count is the number of squishy posts

Doesn't GFY have strict rules against contest whoring? Like being regged at least 3 months, etc?

mikeyddddd 11-05-2006 12:20 AM

The next run will be on Saddam threads.

I agree, that we have too much of contests at one time, but moving them to a separate place is making them not needed. Every contest is an advertising tool, telling all about new promotion and program owners just need to be long time at the top, to get many as possible new webmasters.
So, NOT SO MANY - BUT IN THE SAME PLACE...

Manowar 11-05-2006 03:05 AM

Yep it's going heavy right now

The only reason for contest threads is to keep the announcements and program name at the top of the main forum. Get as many eyes on the announcemnt or idea as possible. :2 cents:
