Hell no! Anime is essentially banned where I live. I had some friend who got me into watching anime with a few others a while back, became sorta like an ?underground? anime club I guess. I?m not that big of a fan but learned a bit of it here and there. I try to learn more in my spare time. I?m to the point where I can understand most of what the fuck they are saying but can?t speak the words very well at all. I almost always attend Otakon ever year with them and man is it a blast. Back in 2005 I saw the best costume there, was a guy dressed up in Mountain Dew cans. Jesus that was funny... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

LOL, well I was in the local Anime club and at each meaning we would watch 'raw' movies and then have a small lesson in Japanese of course this was years ago. All I really remember is 'kimi'

Mother tongue: Finnish
Can speak: English

Understand but can't speak anymore:
Swedish, German, French, a little Spanish and very little Estonian

I consider myself as bilingual at some standards, I've been speaking english at home with my husband for over two years, and my Finnish vocabulary that used to be wider than average, is starting to vanish to the point where I am more comfortable using English in most situations. I dream in English, I speak to my cats in English.

I studied Swedish for five years, German for six, French for three and Spanish for one year. Now I can't form a sentence in any of them. What a waste of time and energy! Now I wish I had taken programming classes instead :disgust

Worldnet 11-04-2006 10:33 PM
