Any fans of using a flash for primary lighting? I loves it if the conditions are right. Post up some of your flash shots! Here's a few of mine using a 550EX flash pointed toward an umbrella (black cover backing):

Very nice shots. All my flash shots look like I stuck a flashlight in their faces. Then someone recomended a Gary Fong diffuser and now they are way better. Just trying to hone the skills.

If you don't wanna spend a lot of money on a diffuser, one cool trick is to just buy one of those $0.97 bottles of rubbing alcohol from Walmart or somewhere (the kind that come in the semi-transluscent white bottles). Cut the top off and stick the bottom of it onto your flash -- instant diffuser! :)

you can get compelling shots with on camera flash if you BOUNCE or diffuse the light source.

better to bounce as this poster shows, but when that is not suitable you can still get some usable shots by diffusion.

or use the journalist trick and use a stofen with a 45 degree angle flash head.

1. Those pictures are freaking amazing and the model is extremely hot, fuck she is a religion, whorship by most. (mmm, feet)

2. I'm loving the lighting effect. The light slashes acrossed her stomach in the last picture. Very cool.

3. Jesus, she is hot.
