do you have emotional scars?

I have a funny thing with slippery shoes in the rain, because I slipped once on a wet rock and almost died.

No, but I am pretty crazy (mental). So I tend to have a lot of 'quirks'

Furious_Female 11-03-2006 10:41 PM

I think everyone does, in some way or another.

But I find my confidence inside the images.

Yes... my feet. Dropped the body of a 35mm studio camera designed to be mounted on a dolly - heavy shit - almost took my big toe off. Kinda "fussy" about my feet ever since :winkwink:

LiveDose 11-03-2006 10:54 PM

Isn't that what alcohol is for?

MaddCaz 11-03-2006 10:55 PM

we all do....

2HousePlague 11-03-2006 10:56 PM

I feel the healing.

That's like saying they all wind up air-related -- :1orglaugh

Everyone has some emotional issues - it's how they are packed and sorted that is more the issue, because to each individual their own emotional hindrances are just as important as any others are to other people.

When you seized the Mexican flag, were you healing a scar or trying to acquire one?

Neither.

The lack of hindrance of bothersome scar effects allows me to live each day to the fullest.

Took me a LONG time to get there no doubt - 30+ years ;-)

Life is not a practice run.

I call it self actualization in a real, practical sense.

:thumbsup

I don't think it's wise to treat all "bothersome effects" as mere "hindrances" to be overcome with bravura. All men must impose bounds upon themselves, lest other men or the Lord do it for them.

LECTER (Voiceover): My dear Will:
You must be healed by now.

On the outside, at least.

I hope you're not too ugly.

What a collection of scars
you have!

Never forget
who gave you the best of them.

And be grateful.

Our scars have the power
to remind us the past was real.

We live in a primitive time,
don't we, Will?

Neither savage nor wise.

Half measures
are the curse of it.

A rational society would either
kill me or put me to some use.

Do you dream much, Will?
I think of you often.

Your old friend,
Hannibal Lecter.

Methinks you have over-analysed what I meant.

Simply put - self imposed bounds for specific reasons have been removed from the process.

Risk is always managed.

:winkwink:

2HousePlague 11-04-2006 12:13 AM

Analysis is a funny thing.

Several years ago I spent months toiling with the mandelbrot set, both mathematically and philosophically. How did you guess -- :)
