US sports setup (I just don't get it)

I've built a profitable simulator that needs all games to come up with correct predictioons. NCAAB is just ahead and I've got fixtures for what, 500 teams to add. A heck of a job but the setup of the conferences are bugging me:

the number of teams in each conference is different.. the teams play teams outside their own conference and different numbers of games.. they also play against lower division teams... how can that be fair?

How the heck and why do they set it up like this? ****FUCK***

I believe it was George Bush that came up with that system. It's just a small part of his masterplan to bring freedom to those peace-loving Iraqis.

still don't get it :/ why the heck can't the US for once follow the rest of the world and set it up easily and fair?

haha Jensen, alot of times when a Division 2 school or Div 1 AA team plays a bigger Div 1 school is for money to fund the smaller school. The conferences battle each other and A1R3K was right, it all comes down to money one way or another.

the NCAA is a majorly fucked up organization. College sports are supposed to be about competitition and sportsmanship. Where is the sportsmanship in putting a small school against a team of future NFL'ers who will beat their asses by 60 points?

and they still resist what a college football playoff - the only true way to crown a champion.

Why should sports be?

it would be a lot easier for me to import new fixtures if everyone weren't playing everyone.. thats why!

aztecboi2003 11-02-2006 10:14 PM

I think they should eliminate most of the bowl games. Keeping only 16 of them which would host the top 16 teams in a playoff. Keeping the Sugar, Orange, Rose and Fiesta to be used for the championship game.

statshark is pretty new actually.. I worked with them last year testing it against a couple of other programs.. good you like it though :) (remember the old ad site they got?)

I've tried most software, .. they simply do not work well enough for my needs.. mine is already built and is doing far better than statshark and I get to run it when I want (with statshark you have to wait until a few hours until gametime) and mine include all the games and not just a few... + nhl, soccer etc etc...
