IE & And Popups

I just downloaded IE7 and it looks like its stopping my exit pages.

Has anyone got a work around for this new beast?

WDjay 11-02-2006 08:31 AM

They shored up all the best exploits. And yes, there are a lot of people working on it :)

BaldBastard 11-02-2006 09:25 AM

Anyone?

http://popuptest.com/ apart from the floating windoes NO popups are working any more.

You all realise this version of IE is going to be used by eveyone with Auto updates on by the end of this month, whats that at a guess 60% of your traffic?

SmokeyTheBear 11-02-2006 09:52 AM

still lots of options open folks :) unders overs and exits.

( this test may not get around google toolbar but beats xpsp2 i.e.7 with wmp11 )

BaldBastard 11-02-2006 10:10 AM

Smoky whats that supposed to do?
nothing seemed to happen here

I am surprised this thread isn't getting more attention. I imagine a lot of work is going on behind the scenes. If anyone finds a decent work around please contact me. Thank you.

BaldBastard 11-02-2006 05:18 PM

I am surprised too

The 10% of webmasters who actually frequent this board stand to lose a large chunk of there income in the next 15 days, programs that offer different payouts for popup and non popup tours, have they re written their terms?

The 100's of programs that just make income from exits have they looked for new occupations?

This aren't no ie4 roll out this is an auto update that is going live in days, that means most of your traffic.

BaldBastard 11-03-2006 04:35 AM

Roll out has begun.. Auto update is starting to ask people to install.

Do I still get paid more for tours with popups than those without?

Sponsors who make there money from exit traffic, can they payme my Xmas check this year?

Jace 11-03-2006 04:50 AM

http://www.consolebroker.com will have something soon I am sure

BaldBastard 11-03-2006 04:57 AM

The browser has been in beta for over a year, you would think they would have it by now ;) Also this version of the browser auto updates, one of the advantages of that is if they find that people have made a work around they can update the browser of the fly ie even if you do get a work around it is going to be time limited and then your back to square one again.

the other problem is why people will have something soon, what hapens to your income now.

that prompted me to install google toolbar

Exits are annoying. I hope I never see one again.

BaldBastard 11-05-2006 06:26 AM

Since I have received no emails from sponsors, I take it they have absorbed the cost of paying out more money for tours with popups and exits than without? Very nice of them to do that.

Internet explorer passed 50 million downloads today, 650 million more to go they say.

is there a live counter somewhere? I would love to see the stats of installs live

Jace 11-05-2006 06:33 AM

btw, I am still only showing 4.54% of my users on IE7
