Paymonde, Segpay and the rest - need assistance!

Hi all,

Newbie looking for some advice on Online Payment Processing companies...so far I've tried Paymonde and have been extremely disappointed with their user support and response time...in fact, its going on 1 week since I joined up and my site hasn?t yet been approved...and considering they predict a 24 hour turn-a-round time, I think they are a big joke and a bunch of incompetent time-wasters...

Anyway, I?ve moved onto Segpay.com but I hear they're IBill re-branded...is this true?....and if so, should it warrant enough reason to look elsewhere?

Btw, also looked at CCBill, but baulked at their $700 Visa fee..

Does anyone have experience with other companies they would like to share?I really want to implement the processing side of things ASAP and feel slightly lost and stuck at this present time.

GG

You can get around the VISA fee with Verotel's TicketsClub. TicketsClub is their program for beginner webmasters, and it's good. The sign up interface can be a bit confusing for new members. So you have to MAKE SURE you provide a page explaining things before they sign up.

Something to the effect of...

Verotel TicketsClub provides secure billing for blahblahblah.com. You have two billing options, $29.95 per month recurring, or $34.95 nonrecurring. etc, etc, etc.

This solves the T.C. interface confusion.

Also, have more than one processor on your cascade. For example, CCBill and Verotel. Some surfers like one over the other, or are more familar. But also you have more choice. If they need VISA (or online, check, MC, Discover, Asian, etc) they use Verotel. If they need MC, JCB, Discover, check, 900, etc etc... CCBill.

Always good to not have all your eggs in one basket. :winkwink:

segpay is exactly ibill re-branded. beware!

SegPay is not iBill re-branded. We have a some ex iBill employees working here, none of who had any ownership.

SegPay is an EU IPSP which does require that all of the merchants we process for must have an EU corp. No Visa fee in the EU. The Visa fee of $750 only applies to US IPSP's.

Contact info in sig. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

The fees to set up an EU incorporation vary. I am hitting you up right now with some online services that can assist you with this.

There are no set up fees to get started with SegPay.

Hey Klixxxman - I'm more wet behind the years than a Tasmanian Salmon.....in other words, totally newbie....I don?t get what you're implying....anyway, I?m merely an ASP developer by day trying to get a site up and running in the Adult world...

Hey Barefootsies - ticketclub won?t work with me....you see, I take care of my own user management...from account creation, authorisation, access, stats - everything!...so I don?t need the ?wool glove? treatment that Verotel offers such as account management and password integration...all I need is for the online payment company to process the credit card....that?s it....and that?s why Paymonde looked good because all I had to do was plug-into their logic with regards to their postback information.....actually, I managed to simulate that on my local PC to the "tee", but if I had known they were going to screw me around with approving me site, then I wouldn?t have wasted my time....

as for Segpay - they've got some pretty good documentation on how to send and postback transaction info too....so I'm having to undo-everything I did for Paymonde and start again....arrrrgggghhh!

so yeh, that's my story....

GG "paymonde this!" Geney's
