I am flirting with a partner accounts blog idea...

I am flirting with a partner accounts blog idea and I would like to know if there are any bloggers interested.

You post to my blogs with your own codes. I handle trades and advertisements. I make my money off of the ads and you make them off the posts.

Don't reply unless you can seriously deliver HUMAN typed posts and a 430x? picture to go with them.

I must see your work before I'd even consider you. So reply with links to it.

You can also reach me my admin at 976porn.com address if you don't want to post those links on GFY (for some fucking reason)...

The blogs will be in many different niches.

You don't HAVE to post daily to each blog you have a partner account on, but you must post regularly. Hopefully others will be filling in the gaps.

You must follow certain guidelines that will be detailed later.

if you don't mind reposts i'd drop mirror blog posts from my blogs, heh.

edgeprod 11-01-2006 03:38 AM

I'd be interested -- I'd like to see one in action first, though.

V_RocKs 11-01-2006 03:39 AM

OK... Guidelines:

1. They must be original and created by you the blogger. You may not post anything unoriginal.

2. They must conform to a format you will be given later.

3. You must be able to create a picture to go with your post and it must be high quality.

www.rhinosgirls.com would be an example of a website the post would be for.

edgeprod 11-01-2006 03:41 AM

Er, just so I understand you correctly ... you're allowing backlinks in the posts for SEO purposes? That's what I'd be primarily interested in.

Basically, that.

Were you talking about paying posters some sort of revshare on the ads? That, I would NOT be interested in. :)

tenderobject 11-01-2006 03:59 AM

yo bro..

how about something like my blog entries? www.tenderbeauties.com

i have atleast 20 more entries that haven't been up for that site co's i've been busy with other projects. would you mind if i posted it in my blog then posted it in your site as well?

Sultry_Selenia 11-01-2006 04:46 AM

I'd be interested. :) I'm just getting my blogs set back up after a host change, so ignore any of the random error messages that I need to go fix. Here's two examples: Artistic Bondage and Retro Sex Blog.

V_RocKs 11-01-2006 02:16 PM

Could you put a backlink to your own site? Yes. Pretty much a reciprocal link to yourself.

Could you repost your own posts? That would defeat the point wouldn't it? Why do any of the work to post it if it isn't going to get any traffic because it isn't going to get SE hits because it is a repost? I will have to get back to you on this one... but my sites gets the traffic they do because of the fact they have humans posting original content to them.

But now I am flirting with that idea too...

V_RocKs 11-01-2006 02:19 PM

I am wondering if anyone here has run a successful blog that gets sales daily... Because you all are talking like you get some sales a month or week and not like you would expect to convert your posts into cash...

Brujah 11-01-2006 02:47 PM

Thurbs 11-01-2006 03:38 PM

Er, no, it sounds like are perhaps misunderstanding. The posts that convert to cash might as well be on our own sites -- I think that's what most of us are thinking. Why build you up a venue where you can sell ad spots?

Also, you mentioned that whole "duplicate content" thing with the SE's .. it makes me wonder about the whole thing.

Good luck with it, though!

The idea of actually buying gallery spots is to get sales everyday from your galleries/big tease for paysite.

It’s true you fuckers are using the blog platform as a gallery post but I think you have the wrong idea. I’d pay to add a post every day if I could get sales out of your traffic every day. Other wise I’ll have my own blogs.

So the question is; Do you get consistent sales from the posts? Or is the sidebar where the good ad spots are. Looks like the sidebar has just as good a placement for non-blog savvy search engine surfers who land on a site a click around on things that catch their attention.

:)

Duplicate content problems are by far overrated. If google detects duplicate content, which isn't determined in general but always by search term, it influences the ranking for this search term. Which content is ranked best when duplicates exist is determined by several factors.

No harm done so far. It only becomes a problem when google detects alot of duplicate content, especially if it's on the same site (e.g.: If you post the same post 15 times on one domain), which can influence the spider activity and general ranking of the site. (penalties, even kick in worst case)

The idea was to get rid of all the DMOZ and WIKI clones, but a reasonable ammount of duplicate content, which is harder for google to detect than often assumed, especially when placed on different domains, doesn't hurt.

So, the reason why hand written blogs get more traffic isn't because others that just syndicate sponsor feeds suffer from duplicate content (with some rare exceptions, if two blogs use just one sponsor feed, the same template and the same permalink structure). It's because the text is longer, contains more targetted keywords, link structure is better, etc.

Kimo 11-01-2006 06:34 PM

that sounds cool

V_RocKs 11-01-2006 06:56 PM

The idea was to get your posts out to more people. So I guess allowing duplicate content could be considered so long as you make the post...

Of course I could just syndicate your blog and save you the trouble of having to post to mine.

You're preaching to the choir -- my point was that is duplicate content was a big issue (when, in reality, it wasn't), then who knows what else could crop up? So I was like "eh, fuck it."

Google determines what you're ADDING to the site's "value," not if you're duplicating content. The ridiculous rumors about this are really annoying, IMO.
