Nice sig!
New CONVERGE album = :thumbsup! |
i don't mind it sometimes. when i am out partying in public is when it annoys me. the difference in clubs that play hip hop and clubs that play electronic is fucking unbelieveable. i hate the attitude it gives people. i can say that cuz i know the attitude it gives me, and i'm a lovable, nice motherfucker.
:1orglaugh hahahahaha |
If it doesn't have guitars, then it's not music. If the guitars aren't distorted then it's not GOOD music.

i like mostly all kinds of music
|
Electronic music isn't music. It's programming with rhythm.
Rap isn't music. Leave the rhymes to Mother Goose. Almost every R&B song is the same. Same beat, different lyrics. |
opinion not fact

In the earliest days rap came directly from the hearts and minds of people. And R&B was allowed to have SOUL. You had the Isley Brothers and Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament/Funkadelic, the Gap Band and so on ... groups that did it all: Wrote, arranged and produced their own songs AND played all their instruments. The music was more personal and alive. Now what we have are "canned" leftovers. And make no mistake. It isn't just rap, R&B and all the so-called "urban" music that's suffering from the pervasive (and still growing) trend at record labels. You can't look at what passes for music on both MTV and VH1 ... or listen to mainstream radio and no know that everyone is being spoonfed stale crap in almost every genre. If they had their way everyone over 25 would be shot dead, I'm sure. CD's are going to be obsolete soon, so music will become even MORE disposable. The only hope I see on the horizon is that soon everyone will eventually have the ability to record their own music from their own homes and record labels (much like music stores) will become obsolete as well. With no one dictating what kind of music you can make or place restrictions on it, I think we'll hear heartfelt magic again. Sure they'll be a lot of crap too, but atleast have a chance to pluck diamonds from the shitpile. |
