Looking to get a new camera...

Someone recomended the D200 or D80 from Nikon. Anyone shoot with it and have any samples shot with studio lights? I have shot with the D100 a lot and also use the fuji s2. Just need a new camera that is not to expensive.
Thanks in advance.

I am keeping them. We have 4 cameras and he gets to keep one. But they are all a couple years old and giving me issues off and on. Time for an upgrade.
Hey Lensman, any suggestions?

I just need a body for now and I found one for about $800 so that's not to bad. I was looking at the reviews and I like what i saw with the d200. What are you using the most these days?

if you're used to Nikon and got the lenses already the d80 should be absolutely sufficient

d2hs and the d200, I have a d70 however it's been converted to IR, was fine for web content before the conversion . . the d80 will do the job just fine . . hell, prolly the d50 would too . . as long as ya are using strobes . . it's the outside and tricky stuff that the d2hs is better at and the d200 is adequate . . not as much fun to shoot at the d2 models however since you haven't shot the 'd2' you wouldn't miss it . . . . my main issue with the d200, d80, d50 is the size of the body, too small for my hands and the the menus . . . you can even get the fuji s3 very cheap too . . -bmb

I have the D1x and I like it other then the size. My hands are small and that camera is huge and heavy, not that I would turn it down of course. It is an awsome camera for sure.

Now see, the D1x is almost to big for me. I like the size of the D200 and D80 and I have looked a little at the fuji S3 as I like the color that it produces a lot.
