JFK 10-31-2006 02:48 PM

Very Interesting:2 cents:

Jace 10-31-2006 02:49 PM

holy shit, this is HUGE

TheDoc 10-31-2006 02:50 PM

Wow.. I thought Danni was bigger than a 3 million dollar company. They put huge amounts of work and effort into the member areas and have been open for so long.. I guess I thought they more more than 3m a year.

Well, I did figure they made more than 3m a year. It really doesn't seem like much money for a company that has been online and productive for so long.

Mr. Romance 10-31-2006 02:55 PM

congrats to danni's

Mr. Romance

JD 10-31-2006 02:56 PM

i agree with TheDoc. 3Mil isn't much when you consider the age/brand of Danni.com

C H R I S 10-31-2006 02:58 PM

Quite a big deal.....

TeaseumGirls 10-31-2006 02:58 PM

TheDoc 10-31-2006 03:10 PM

Ugg damn bug.. The first message didn't post all the way, the second posted fine.. Odd I went to correct an error and gfy just posted the message.

JP-pornshooter 10-31-2006 03:11 PM

sounds like a steal to me.. must be something up.. 3 mil is nothing.

SinisterStudios 10-31-2006 03:11 PM

3 million doesnt sound right, there has to be more to this than we know

Jace 10-31-2006 03:11 PM

you also have to take into consideration that since Danni has left, the current staff has all but run the company into the ground

whoever that layne slasher (or whatever the fuck his name is) guy is, was horrible at running that company and fucked everything up

bobby666 10-31-2006 03:12 PM

a mega deal

RawAlex 10-31-2006 03:12 PM

3 million is a shockingly low number... considering the profile and such.

Either that or the sites aren't doing anywhere near as well we think.

Alex

Congrats to Mike and the rest of the Penthouse crew for picking up Danni's before we did.
Great pick up and it is good to see it in good hands thumbsup

MediaGuy 10-31-2006 03:21 PM

Bravo for ... Danni? Penthouse? How much is Danni worth? Not just 3 mil?

She must be getting much sweeter in terms of profit, shares or affiliation and "creative vision" and control... hmmm.

Hi Aimee.

Think John deserves a little cut for helping boost their value up to what they sold for? :winkwink:

Hey Bro. What's happening?

I think this clearly indicates the BS that floats around our industry. Perception is everything until it comes time to sell lol.

The fact that everybody is shocked by this definitely shows the power of their brand and is a great sign that Penthouse made a great pick up.

I should add I'm referring to what Danni Ashe is worth in this deal. She had obviously saved up enough to retire 2 years ago :winkwink:

Mutt 10-31-2006 03:34 PM

like everybody else i'm surprised 3M is all they got for it. cashing out of this business is really tough. Lensman is the only one I'm aware of who did it getting something close to full value.

but who knows - i dont know what traffic sources they own and how big their recurring database is - it was a legendary site at one time but i think it's lost alot of that luster.

I think Jenna got full value as well

TreasureBucks 10-31-2006 03:39 PM

Thanks Shap! We are always looking for quality internet companies to add
to the family, and I have been a long time fan of Danni.com so I am especially
happy today.

As to the valuation, that is the price that VBI would sell it to us for, it doesn't mean more than that. I think Danni.com didn't change with the times as much as it could have but I am suprised how steady its' business has been,
and I see lots of ways we can increase sales and the bottom line. Some of the changes, like getting rid of DRM on the videos, will be changed as of next week.

Thanks again.

I know how you feel. I've been a Danni fan for a long time as well. Congrats on picking up one of your favorites. I'm sure you guys will bring it back to it's glory days!

Buying a site is like buying a domain. It's worth as much as the person selling it is willing to sell it for :winkwink: When bad times strike the seller it can be an amazing deal for the buyer :thumbsup

Jace 10-31-2006 04:00 PM

Danni Ashe has not been a part of danni.com for quite some time you all

didn't she sell he share a few years back?

Same here, with all their exclusive content, member base, affiliate base, massive branding, and everything else they've built in the past 10 years, I would've thought they'd be worth a lot more than $3M.

just out of curiosity, is dhdrevx still going to be used for the affiliate ststem?

Spunky 10-31-2006 05:07 PM

Hopefully Penthouse will turn it around..

Some webmasters like DHDrevEx because it gives them one check from many different programs, but I think Danni could use a more modern solution so it can give webmasters better tracking.

DWB 10-31-2006 05:16 PM

Is this going to be like when Penthouse picked up Ibill?
