Have you "grown up"?
When does that happen exactly?
I have a wife, a child, a mortgage, a daily job... all that fun stuff. But I still don't "feel" how people told me I should when I "get out in the real world." Have you "grown up" ? |
When I do, I'll never admit it.
|
I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up.
|
Forget them, Wendy. Forget them all. Come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again.
Well I will not grow up, you cannot make me! I will banish you like Tinkerbell. Growing up is such a barbarous business, full of inconvenience...and pimples. |
In some ways yes, in some, no.
I face responsibility head on and control my life. I am not a burden on anyone else. I take care of me and mine. But, I watch cartoons more than anything else. I laugh a LOT, often when inappropriate and things like that. |
im still growing up...:upsidedow
i will let you know how i feel when im 30 |
why grow up? i still love jumping in piles of leaves during Fall, sledding during the winter, dressing up for Halloween...just because Im 25 doesnt mean that all has to stop. ;)
|
I dunno. I'm 37 and I still don't feel grown up. I mean, I still play with toys, although the toys now are dildos, handcuffs and floggers. I still like to goof around with my friends. So, yeah, I guess I'm not gonna grow up any time soon. :winkwink:
|
God, I hope not. If you ever start to see that quality in me, Stuey, cap me in the back of the head w/out warning.
|
My answer is NO. I have two ex-wives that will be happy to verify this if necessary.
|

With a wife, child, mortgage, and a daily job I don't think you have much of a choice anymore. Your life is pretty much on cruise control from here on out. |
nope...but i'm pretty sure its because we live in times where its not so hard to live...sure you have to work and stuff but an idiot could do that, it all seems to be too easy to be "grown up life"

The wife and mortgage are another story. :upsidedow |
still a kid at heart
|
hell no......
|
I like to retain a childlike wonderment and curiosity. The ability to ask "Why not?" and "What if....?" It's a good counterbalance to the fear, mental orthodoxy, attitudinal rigidity, and complacency that often comes with age.

BUT matured enough to handle responsibility! :thumbsup |
sure... I'm much taller then I was when I was born :winkwink:
|
It was 8 years ago on a warm spring day as I recall. My second ball finally dropped into my nutsack, and it was then that I knew I had finally, truly, grown up.
I was 35 at the time. :D But seriously.... If I live to be 90 and am in a nursing home I will be the old guy lifting up nurse's skirts and shooting syringes full of water at them. Growing up is overrated. :D |
it runs in my family, we never grow up, my dad died at 48 with a bigger sense of humor then anyone his age i know, always jokes around and shit, hell our last family picture, in 04, he was trying to make me laugh by attempting to tickle my butt... hes a joker, and i'm a joker, I'll be responsible for shit, but never grow up
|
Trust me, I havent.
|
My wife calls me 'man boy' does that answer your question.
|
I'm 24, married, have a wife, no kids yet, mortage on a new house etc. I feel like I'm growing up but it is still fun to get out and do things you did when you were younger.
