Subdomain redirection
I just baught a expired domain that still contain some traffic, also on the subdomians. But how do I redirect the traffic from the subdomain to another site?
I own domain.com and redirect all traffic to sponsor.com with a htaccess file. How do I redirect traffic coming to xxx.domain.com :helpme |
You probably need to get your hosting company to set it up. (Sounds like you don't run your own DNS). Some hosts charge per subdomain too, at least a set-up fee since it takes their time.

ftp in and upload an index file and html it to forward to the main domain.

You can do it a couple of ways, the easiest is to have your dns point like this
* IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx make sure and put your ip in at the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx :Graucho and then setup your apache to also take all calls with ServerAlias *.yourdomain.com That way all hits will be directed to the main account and you can setup a traffic hub or something to filter the traffic :) Tim :Graucho |
