Finally, after waiting nearly 6 months since i ordered it arrived 2 days ago: my new Sony Ericsson P990i - nice piece of technology... :)

they should've used the detachable keyboard like p900 has, leaving more space for bigger screen.

i have taken the flap off - don't need it. and the actual resolution of the screen is bigger than before. not sure about the keyboard - i have fat fingers and that makes it hard to use it - lol

well you guys seem to know about cellphones so i'll ask a quick question, i'm still using my 3 yr old low tech non-camera phone.

can you tell me what type of phone i need if i want someone to be able to send me a jpg pix from their computer to my cellphone.

not a camera phone image from one phone to another, but a jpg image file from a computer to the cellphone?

any ideas?

I work for a carrier and off-hand I'd say all of our phones are capable of doing that. You just need to know your phone's email address. This is if the images are compressed to a certain extent, of course.

well - it makes you independent...

besides talking or sending text messages i can read and send emails, use icq, have a german/czech dictionary, have all my appointments and contacts with me, surf the internet and tons more..

for example: i need no f...... Ipod or MP3 player - it plays music and videos perfectly. if i'm bored - or have to fly - i simply watch DVDs on my phone

recently i needed an address at 3 am on a street corner in prague - take the phone, go to google, search for the place and 2 minutes later i got the address

that's why :winkwink:


edit: i nearly forgot: it has remote desktop for my laptop at home and my webservers :)
