Welcome back to me! (and VOTING INFO for Las Vegans!)
Well I have been so busy lately... moving 3 times. But I am happy and working hard on my site like never before. Hope everyone is doing well as well....
I wanted to tell people who live in Las Vegas to get out and vote and take note of 3 important topics on the ballot. PLEASE read the fine print. Here are 3 important issues that you need to consider: QUESTION #7: This ammendment will make marijuanna LEGAL to purchase in special stores (head shops, "weed stores", etc.). This is NOT a medical marijuanna thing like Cali and other states. This is a "WE CARD" initiative. You will have to be 21 to purchase marijuanna and would be able to just with an ID. This ammendment however will come with MUCH stiffer penalties if you are caught in a public place, near a school, or found giving pot to minors (IT WILL BE A FELONY). So, it is imperative you get out to vote if you are tired of the jails being filled with non-violent offenders that deal with marijuanna. QUESTIONS #4 and #5: These ammendments will prohibit smoking in certain public places EXCEPT all areas of casinos, gaming areas, bars and other certain locations. -The problem I have with QUESTION 4 is that it will take the local authority OUT of regulation of smoking laws. ALSO... it will NOT prohibit smoking in child care facilities with under 13 children. I would vote NO on question 4. Please research more if you are interested... OR... write me back and ask questions. I have the FOR and AGAINST for this issue and can give you facts about it. - The problem I have with question these SMOKING BANS are that they will take smoking out of regular bars NOT frequented by children and will cause MORE drunk driving accidents since according to a spokesperson from the LV Metropolitain Police Department, it will lead to an increse of drunk driving accidents considering the consumption of food is widely considered to be an important offset when consuming alcohol. This smoking ban will hurt Las Vegas considering we rely on tourism heavily. MUCH more than other cities that have enforced a smoking ban. So VOTE NO on question #4 and #5. Leave the enforcement to local agencies and the disgression of bar owners. |
Welcome back!!!! I cant believe they are trying to pass that....

Trying? It is working. It is all over the city here.
Wait, which part? Smoking or legalized weed? Thanks for the welcome back. :) |
