Anybody have reviews of IE7?

Whats the good n the bad about it?

I'm one of the biggest Microsoft haters on the planet but honestly I kinda like IE7. I love the way it renders the pages. They just look better. I don't care for the oddball reload and home button placement but the rest is pretty slick.

The menu system gets moved around so you have to relearn it. Relearn it? Yes, because the icons also change their look and color and REALLY get moved around.

But the tabbed browsing makes it all worth while.

The username:[email protected] issue comes up again. Before you could either make a registry change or just remove the update that "fixed" that for you. Now it won't even attempt to open a window for any links using this login method. Sucks because that means you have to manually login to sponsors with Stats Remote. Think Nasty Dollars...

I still can't believe Stats Remote won't make it open shit in the DEFAULT browser if it is Firefox. I talked to JB about that and he said it isn't possible. So I showed him plenty of programs that can do it and even got him in touch with a programmer of one of them. He still said it can't be done... ohh well...

But with Tabbed browsing it is all good.

Oh that REALLY sucks. I may have to nuke my SR subscription over that. I have a 118 sponsors in SR use Stats Remote to bypass l/p's as a quick login option to enter my admins. :disgust

Loosing that would certainly be a deal killer.

just have to get used to the menus, and its great, but still use firefox cause of the wide range of plugins they have.

That is a simple change in your viewing settings.

I however am trying to figure out why mine makes a double click or tick tick noise every few minutes. The same sound you get on refresh pages or clicking links sort of.
